How do I join?

If you already know how to row, you can join the Los Angeles Rowing Club at any time.  Feel free to stop by to check things out any weekend between 6am and 9:30am.

Or, send us your information and once we know your availability and skill level someone will contact you.

If you are new to the sport of rowing you will be required to complete the Los Angeles Rowing Club's Learn to Row program.

How much does it cost?

Each member of the Los Angeles Rowing Club who is rowing in a regularly scheduled boat/crew is required to pay dues.  Regularly scheduled coxswains automatically become members of the Los Angeles Rowing Club, with no dues obligations.  Club dues can be paid on an annual, half year, or quarterly basis:

One Year: $360.00

Half Year: $190.00

Quarterly: $100.00

NOTE: The Los Angeles Rowing Club offers a "three free rows" policy where prospective members can try us out with no obligation.  Once the three free rows have been used, the prospective member will be asked to join the Los Angeles Rowing Club.

All Los Angeles Rowing Club members are encouraged to become members of the United States rowing Association (USRA) for an annual fee of $65.00.  USRA membership provides you with a subscription to American Rowing magazine, certain insurance benefits (consult USRA for details) and the ability to enter any USRA - sanctioned rowing events.

When can I row?

The majority of workouts take place on weekdays from 5:00AM to 7:00AM and weekends from 6:00AM to 10:30AM.  Late morning or afternoon workouts can also be scheduled.  Most crews row at least twice a week, with some crews scheduled for four workouts per week.  Boat schedules are determined at the monthly club meetings.
